Blastin’ Astrid is a cosplayer, Game Master, fantasy nerd, and creative project fiend. A D20 cruise veteran, Astrid’s games feature big monsters and big NPC personalities, featuring a balance of role play and combat. With a mix of serious and silly, Astrid seeks to tell collaborative and epic stories of adventure with her players.
I’ve been running TTRPG games for for 6 years, and have been a lifelong fantasy nerd. Ive GM’d for events like the D20 Cruise, FanExpo Dallas, FanFestival, and for charity causes led by Capes for Kindness. Recently, I’ve partnered with my D&D group to form a company called Five Sided Fates, an all female LLC that puts on D&D Events in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex in Texas. Our next event is FateCon 2024: a 3 day convention of D&D games for attendees, panels, live-play sessions for attendees to watch, vendor exhibits, a cosplay competition, and more!
What kind of Game Master are you:
I strive to achieve a balance between RP, combat, and exploration, but I will admit to loving role play above all things. I enjoy embodying one of my NPCs in cosplay when I DM for extra fun and immersion!
What kind of games do you like to run? Gritty, more realism, high fantasy, quirky, casual, etc.
I enjoy high fantasy, heavy magic use, steam punk influence, extra-planar travel, and colorful characters!
