Which is easiest?
The easiest to learn from the above games is Warhammer 40,000 because of its huge popularity worldwide though the rules can be convoluted. The only reason we say this is “easy” to learn is because you’re likely to find people to play with, and there is a wealth of online resources and support. The other games are all excellent too, but may require more effort to find opponents and learn the rules on your own. If learning on your own is your thing then the go for any of the skirmish games, they tend to be less upfront commitments and then you can share this newfound knowledge with your friends or even step up and grow your own local gaming community group.
Just want to try them?
Do not despair though, if you wish to try any of the above games you can experience them aboard the 2023 Battle Barge Cruise sailing July 17 – 21 from Los Angeles to Mexico. Best part of getting to wargame on a cruise vacation is that your significant other will not only be supportive of your new hobby, they may even enjoy playing too! Plus there are always other activities available on board if gaming is not their thing.
